Corporate Yoga

Work related demands can create tension and muscular imbalances which are responsible for much of the shoulder, neck, and back pain that many employees experience.  Sitting for long periods can cause employees to become tense, restless, and unfocused.

 

Taking a break to practice yoga can make all the difference.  Employees will see the immediate benefits of increased focus, rejuvenated energy levels, and relief from stress.  This, in turn, increases workplace productivity and satisfaction, combating high rates of missed days of work, workers compensation claims, and soaring medical costs. Yoga classes provide camaraderie, team building, and a positive environment.

Classes are designed so that everyone can participate, no matter their fitness level. The yoga exercises incorporated help to simultaneously stretch the muscles that tend to be tight or overactive, and strengthen muscles that tend to be weak and under active due to sitting for long periods at a computer or performing other tasks. Classes can be as short as 20 - 30 minutes, or can be a full hour during lunchtime, and can help employees return to work feeling more productive and energized.

Roz Maissy will work with each company individually to design a program that will fill their employees needs and schedule. Flexibility is the key, not only in class, but in working with each company's needs.
